The Bulgarian Government has launched a unified information portal to help people fleeing Ukraine. The site to visit is https://gov.bg/bg/ukraine where full information is available about the border crossing control requirements for the Republic of Bulgaria. Guidance is provided for the requisite identity documents.
A special page of the portal contains information about the procedure to be followed to be granted an international protection status to seekers who are citizens of Ukraine who arrive in Bulgaria.
The platform can accept appeals filed for help and evacuation of citizens. The portal processes information concerning volunteers and donors.
A special page is maintained to inform about the measures relevant to the COVID-19 restrictions. The special site maintains its own news page.
The unified information portal that the Bulgarian Government has created is the first such portal within the EU.
