The government suggested to the President of the Republic of Bulgaria to issue an ordinance appointing Senior Commissioner Mladen Marinov as Secretary General of the MOI.
Mladen Marinov has been director of the Sofia Directorate of Interior since July 2014. He is a graduate of the Academy of the MOI and holds a degree in law from the University of National and World Economy. He entered the MOI system in 1991 and has worked on all levels of the Sofia Directorate of Interior – starting as a policeman and reaching the post of a director of the Sofia Directorate.
