Prime Minister Stefan Yanev spoke over phone with US Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Victoria Nuland.
Mrs. Nuland informed Bulgaria’s Prime Minister that building upon the Global Magnitsky Act three Bulgarian individuals and 64 corporate entities were designated for sanctions. Another three individuals would be the target of a more limited sanctions regime. The measures are implemented in the context of the effort to effectively combat corruption in Bulgaria.
