Prime Minister Stefan Yanev met the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Bulgaria H. E. Mr. Christoph Eichhorn. The focus of their meeting was the traditionally good relations between the two countries and the opportunities to expand win-win cooperation, especially in the economy, security and international relations.
The Prime Minister of the Republic of Bulgaria availed of the opportunity to confirm his participation in the Berlin Process Summit in a VTC (video teleconferencing) format on 5 July 2021.
Also, the Prime Minister and the Ambassador discussed the prospects for the accession of the Republic of North Macedonia to the European Union.
They focused on the forthcoming parliamentary elections and the challenges arising therefrom that the two governments are to face. They discussed specific ways to facilitate the process and the preparedness of Germany to support it.
