Prime Minister Kiril Petkov met with Mrs. Karoline Edtstadler, Federal Minister for the European Union and the Constitution of the Republic of Austria.
The main focus of their discussion was the European perspective for the Western Balkans and the debate on the rule of law within the European Union. Prime Minister Petkov pointed out the Bulgarian Government’s unbending attitude towards corruption and stressed that there could be no division between the East and West on EU values. Federal Minister Edtstadler expressed Austria's support for the actions of the new Bulgarian Government and stressed her wish for future cooperation.
