Prime Minister Galab Donev thanked all who helped people injured in the serious bus accident on Trakia Motorway on Sunday evening. The accident showed to us that there is only one way and together we can overcome even the severest hardships, he said at the start of the cabinet meeting. “Citizens and government institutions reacted in a synergy that we seldom see. Luckily, there were medical doctors around. Their involvement is a manifestation of human compassion and solidarity”, Galab Donev stressed. He thanked the ambulance teams, the emergency physicians and nurses, the Traffic Police officers and the local authorities in Stara Zagora and expressed his hope that the injured children would recover soon.

“I expect the Ministry of Interior to make sure that the traffic code rules will be enforced. Bring back attention to life: this is my appeal to all. If we value life – our life and the lives in the opposite direction lane, we will follow the moral imperative,” Prime Minister Galab Donev said further.

At its today sitting, the cabinet took a decision to provide, free of charge, bottled drinking water and thus to overcome the consequences of the state of civil emergency declared in the municipality of Svoge. Following an order of Prime Minister Galab Donev, an interagency taskforce has been set up to work to find long-term solutions to the recurring problem in the region.
