In the course of the discussion in the Prime Minister’s Office Mr. Donev emphasized the need for the two countries to follow consistently the positive agenda in their relations, to generate a friendly climate and to prevent any erosion of what had been achieved. “As we bring partnership to the fore of our relations, we demonstrate that we share a real desire to achieve results for the benefit of our citizens,” the Prime Minister said.

Further, Prime Minister Galab Donev pointed out the benefits to arise from the promotion of trade and economic relations between the two countries as well from the continuation of the industrial cooperation. The discussion also covered cooperation in the energy sector and the completion of Corridor 8 as a strategic European route for transport and communication.

Prime Minister Galab Donev emphasized for Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani the importance that Bulgaria attaches to the restoration and upkeep of the Bulgarian military monuments in the territory of the Republic of North Macedonia and said he would expect support for that issue from the government in Skopje.
