The preparation for the upcoming Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the EU in 2018 was among the topics of the conversation of Prime Minister Boyko Borissov with the Deputy Secretary General of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation Gerhard Wahlers. During the meeting at the Foundation’s academy in Berlin the two also discussed the current political situation in Bulgaria and on the Balkans.
Gerhard Wahlers, who is Head of the Department for European and International Cooperation of the Foundation, congratulated the Prime Minister on his third term in office and wished him success. Prime Minister Borissov in turn welcomed the activeness of the Foundation, which is established in 1995, and highlighted the significance of its work to the benefit of the development of democratic values.
