PRIME MINISTER MET WITH THE AMERICAN CHAMBER OF COMMERCE TO THE EUROPEAN UNION

Prime Minister Boyko Borissov met today with the leadership of the American Chamber of Commerce for the European Union, who are on a two-day visit to Bulgaria. The conversation at the Council of Ministers is part of the practice of the Chamber to initiate meetings in European states who are ahead of taking over the Presidency of the Council of the EU.

 

In front of Prime Minister Borissov the representatives of the Chamber presented the priorities of American business in Europe and expressed readiness for cooperation. The European Single Market, transatlantic relations, international trade, and Brexit were highlighted.

 

Prime Minister Boyko Borissov pointed out the active preparation of our country for the upcoming Presidency next year. He paid special attention to the issue of the European perspective of the Western Balkans. During the conversation, he underlined the macroeconomic indicators of Bulgaria and in turn welcomed the cooperation with the American Chamber of Commerce to the interest of the investment climate in the country and the creation of new employment opportunities.
