PRIME MINISTER BOYKO BORISSOV: WE WILL STOCK UP ON PROTECTIVE CLOTHING FOR BULGARIAN MEDICAL WORKERS AND WE WILL HELP OTHER EUROPEAN COUNTRIES

"I do not want to for medics in Bulgaria to not have protective clothing, given that a single company in our country can produce 15,000 in one week. Today, at the European Council meeting, I will inform my colleagues that we already have goods above the reserve. We will stock up and then help other countries. The medical staff in Bulgaria is overinsured and we are now calm," said Prime Minister Borissov.

 

Prime Minister Boyko Borissov and the Head of the National Operational Headquarters and Chief of the Military Medical Academy Prof. Ventsislav Mutafchiyski visited the development center and the logistics base of the Apollo company, which produces protective clothing for medical staff.

 

The two got acquainted with the technological process of creating and making clothes that provide 100% protection against viruses. The company's factories have so far produced 15,000 units and the company is ready to produce between 10,000 and 15,000 protective suits per week.

 

During the visit, the Prime Minister instructed the President of the National Operational Headquarters, Prof. Ventsislav Mutafchiyski, to inform the hospitals in the country that if necessary, they can be provided with additional protective clothing.

 

"All medics in Bulgaria must remain calm. If a medical institution calls with a request for protective clothing, it will receive them within hours, transportation is provided, "said Prime Minister Borissov.
