PRIME MINISTER BOYKO BORISSOV TALKED WITH THE CROWN PRINCE OF THE EMIRATE OF ABU DHABI SHEIKH MOHAMMED BIN ZAYED AL-NAHYAN

Prime Minister Boyko Borissov had a telephone conversation with the Crown Prince of the Emirate Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the United Arab Emirates Armed Forces Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan.

 

The two leaders discussed the situation with the spread of COVID-19 and the measures that have proven effective in curbing the disease. The focus of the conversation was on diagnosis and treatment methods for the new virus, which produce good results and save lives.

 

Prime Minister Boyko Borisov briefed Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan on the actions of the government and industry to reorganize the Bulgarian economy in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Prime Minister pointed out that the textile industry in Bulgaria has been producing protective clothing, helmets and goggles for weeks now for the needs of the Bulgarian doctors, nurses, paramedics, laboratory assistants and all employees directly involved in the fight against the coronavirus.

 

Another focus of the telephone conversation between Borissov and Mohammed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan was the security of food supplies and the measures needed to secure it.

 

The Prime Minister of Bulgaria expressed satisfaction in front of the Sheikh from the intensification of the bilateral relations as a result of the created political trust and a common desire to develop the cooperation. In this regard, the two leaders agreed on Bulgaria and Abu Dhabi to invest in the construction of a horse racing track near Shumen.

At the beginning of the month, Prime Minister Borissov attended a horse show in the village of Pristoye, when representatives of local authorities and horse riding enthusiasts asked the Prime Minister about the new sports facility. Prime Minister Borissov is committed to building a national racetrack for horse racing and the project will soon be implemented.
