Prime Minister Boyko Borissov has sent a telegram of condolence to German Chancellor Angela Merkel over the attack in Hanau, during which innocent citizens were killed. Prime Minister Borissov expressed his sincere condolences to the relatives of the victims.
"This act of aggression shows that we must be united in defending our values against any encroachment on health, life and liberty," Borissov said, expressing his deep concern regarding the terrorist attack. In his letter to Chancellor Merkel, Prime Minister Boyko Borissov reaffirmed Bulgaria's solidarity with Germany in the fight against all forms of terrorism and violence.
