Hemus Highway is under construction and Varna has a great potential for development due to its infrastructure and location. This is what Prime Minister Boyko Borissov stated, while participating in the opening of the shared service center of the Belgian financial group KBC in Varna. The event was also attended by the Minister of Finance Vladislav Goranov.

Prime Minister Borissov put an emphasis on the government's efforts to create conditions that attract high quality investments. The Prime Minister reminded that the World Bank has recently opened a center in Sofia and that China has decided to create a global think tank in Bulgaria. Prime Minister Borissov added that it is non-coincidental that all credit agencies report an increasing rating for our country and that the Bulgarian economy is growing. Many highly skilled and well-paid people in Europe are beginning to return to Bulgaria, Borissov said. He pointed out that centers like the one being opened today foster competition, create good working conditions and support career opportunities.

In order to set up its shared service center, the Belgian financial group KBC has selected Varna among several cities in Central and Eastern Europe. In the coming years, the company will create more than 300 new jobs. Various companies of the KBC Group will be serviced from Varna. The employees of the center will be engaged in activities such as HR, project management, property management, IT and risk management, and commercial financing.
