Bulgaria will maintain the established close relationship with the UK in the future, as it is to the interest of both countries and their strategic partnership within NATO. It is of particular importance to maintain the already established excellent cooperation on security issues, Prime Minister Boyko Borissov said at his meeting with David Davies, Secretary of State for the UK withdawal from the EU.
The two were unanimous that Bulgaria and the UK will preserve their good partnership in politics, economy, tourism, and security.
During the conversation with the Secretary of State of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the Bulgarian Prime Minister noted that, despite the Brexit process, Europe must remain united and strong. On his side, Davis congratulated Prime Minister Borissov for the good conduction of the Presidency of the Council of the EU.
