This is what Prime Minister Boyko Borissov said during his meeting with the President of the World Medical Association Prof. Leonid Eidelman and the President of the Southeast European Medical Forum Assoc.Prof. Andrei Kehayov. The Minister of Health Kiril Ananiev also attended the talks.
Prof. Leonid Eidelman visited Sofia in order to participate in the Tenth International Medical Congress organized by the Southeast European Medical Forum. The event is held under the patronage of the Ministry of Health.
During the meeting with Prime Minister Borissov, the possibility of closer cooperation with the World Medical Association and the Southeast European Medical Forum in order to find more effective healthcare solutions in the 21st century was discussed. Prof. Kehayov noted that within the framework of the medical congress in Bulgaria a Resolution from Sofia will be adopted to outline and give guidance on the new trends in the sector. And with his presence, Prof. Eidelman, who is also the President of the Israeli Medical Association, declares his support for all doctors and medical professionals in this part of Europe.
Minister Ananiev emphasized that the main priorities of the Ministry of Health policy largely coincide with the views of the World Medical Association on the ongoing changes in health systems worldwide.
Prime Minister Borissov noted that the Bulgarian government supports the need to reform and optimize healthcare in Bulgaria in order to provide high-level treatment at a European level.

Its mission is to serve humanity as it strives to achieve the highest international standards in medical education, science, and ethics, and to promote adequate health care for all people around the world.
