PRIME MINISTER BOYKO BORISSOV MET WITH THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF NORTH MACEDONIA STEVO PENDAROVSKI

The Prime Minister Boyko Borissov had a meeting with the President of the Republic of North Macedonia Stevo Pendarovski during the Summit of the Heads of State and Government of the South-East European Cooperation Process (SEECP).

“Through signing the Treaty on friendship, good neighborliness and cooperation, we gave prospective for the citizens of the Republic of North Macedonia and we created the right conditions for the signing of the Prespa Agreement,” said Prime Minister Boyko Borissov.

During his meeting with Pendarovski Prime Minister Borissov noted that he has expressed his gratitude towards him in front of the media today and determined as a positive fact that high-level politicians are publicly stating the truth about our common history, including Gotse Delchev. “Throughout the period from 1992 until today, Bulgaria insisted only this to happen,” underlined Prime Minister Boyko Borissov

On his part, President Stevo Pendarovski thanked Bulgaria for its active support for the Republic of North Macedonia on its way to its European future. “You are our biggest supporter,” Pendarovski told the Bulgarian Prime Minister. The President of the Republic of North Macedonia emphasized that on the level of diplomacy the relations between the two countries are wonderful and that it would be good to be given a stimulus for the Commission to work even more efficiently.
