PRIME MINISTER BOYKO BORISSOV MET WITH THE CROATIAN PRIME MINISTER ANDREJ PLENKOVIĆ AND WITH THE PRESIDENT OF KOSOVO HASHIM THAÇI

"We have to demonstrate that we have grown up in the Balkans. The future of the Western Balkan countries goes through their European integration." This is what Prime Minister Boyko Borissov said during his meeting with the Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković and with the President of Kosovo Hashim Thaçi. The three talked after holding a panel dedicated to the Diplomatic Dialogue on the Western Balkans at the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos.

 

Prime Minister Borissov put an emphasis on the values that unite both the EU Member States and the countries aspiring to join the European family. The focus of the talks between Borissov, Plenković and Thaçi was also NATO's importance and role regarding the security of the region.

 

Prime Minister Borissov welcomed the decision of the Croatian Presidency of the Council of the European Union to continue to put the European perspective of the Western Balkans high on the European agenda and the EU-Western Balkans summit planned for May in Zagreb.
