“The bilateral relations between Bulgaria and Germany are strategically important, and those with Bavaria are the most active and dynamically developing compared to the ones with the other Federal German states.”
This is what Prime Minister Boyko Borissov said during his meeting with the Minister President of the Free State of Bavaria Markus Söder in the Bavarian State Chancellery in Munich.
The discussion between Borissov and Söder was a continuation of the successful and productive meeting between the two in Sofia in the beginning of the month of May. Today, the economy and investments were the focus of the discussion.
Minister President Marcus Söder pointed out, that he is impressed by the quantity of German factories being opened in Bulgaria. “We are expecting even stronger economic partnership. It is important for us to have the trust of the Bavarian business for trade and investment in our state, and we are making every effort in that direction,” underlined Prime Minister Boyko Borissov. He also added, that increasing the amount of Bulgarian goods on the Bavarian market in prospective sectors such as electronics, electrical engineering, machinery, chemical industry, agriculture, etc., is especially important for our state.
We are trying to advance innovative manufactures with high added value so we can improve the possibilities for technological development,” said Prime Minister Borissov to Markus Söder.
Prime Minister Borissov pointed out that Bulgaria is actively working for further improving the conditions for attracting investors by reforming the professional education and the training of qualified work force, through the reduction of the administrative burden and the development of the industrial zones.
Both leaders are certain that the political dialogue between Bulgaria and Bavaria is thorough on all levels and making all necessary efforts for developing the not yet utilized potential should continue. Markus Söder offered for an Economic Evening of Bulgaria to be organized in Bavaria, which would be another sign of the excellent relations between Bulgaria and Bavaria.
