PRIME MINISTER BOYKO BORISSOV: DEMOCRACY IS NOT ONLY A PRIVILEGE BUT A RESPONSIBILITY

04.05.2017

We will put every effort, diligence and wisdom to make things better in Bulgaria and to avoid the chaos. This was said by Prime Minister Boyko Borissov during the official ceremony for the inauguration of the government, which was held at the “Granitna” Hall at the Council of Ministers.

According to the Prime Minister, taking over the political leadership should happen gradually and wisely, as democracy requires it. “We have always thought that democracy is the best thing that has ever happened to Bulgaria, it is not only a privilege but a responsibility,” added Borissov. He thanked the caretaker cabinet for its work on the organization of the early parliamentary elections and the preparation for the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the EU.

The caretaker Prime Minister Ognian Gerdjikov congratulated Borissov on his appointment for the third time as Prime Minister of Bulgaria. “I wish you success, because it will be not only yours personally, but of Bulgaria,” said Gerdjikov. He underlined the contribution of his government to the conduction of free and democratic elections and in preparation for the Presidency.
