PRIME MINISTER BOYKO BORISSOV AND THE MINISTER OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS OF SAUDI ARABIA REVIEWED THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE RIYADH AGREEMENTS

Bulgaria's Prime Minister Boyko Borissov and Foreign Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir at a meeting in Sofia, noted the intensification of the bilateral relations between Bulgaria and Saudi Arabia. It was stated that the activation of the economic and political dialogue between the two countries started after the talks at the highest level at the end of last year when a delegation led by the Bulgarian Prime Minister visited Riyadh.

 

Boyko Borissov welcomed Saudi Arabia’s interest in developing relations, clearly expressed through the intense program of visits by Saudi ministers and officials to Bulgaria. The Prime Minister pointed out that our country has already sent to the institutions in Riyadh information and data about the Bulgarian economy and the investment environment, as well as proposals for investment projects. According to him, potential for bilateral cooperation is present in the agricultural sector, business parks, industrial zones, infrastructure development, tourism, and transport. The Prime Minister expressed his expectation that specific arrangements will be agreed during the future visit of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed Bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz al-Saud, for whose preparation the two sides actively work.

 

Prime Minister Borissov and Minister Adele Bin Ahmed al-Jubeir also exchanged views on international issues related to the fight against terrorism, security and migration.
