Prime Minister Boyko Borissov held a telephone conversation with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
The two discussed the idea of holding a meeting in Bulgaria between the leaders of the European institutions and Turkey. Prime Minister Borissov said that such a meeting could help normalize the dialogue between the EU and Turkey, which would be of mutual interest.
President Erdogan congratulated the Prime Minister on the official onset of the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the EU and expressed his wishes that it will be successful both for the Union and the countries of the region.
