PRIME MINISTER BOYKO BORISSOV AND ARTUR RASIZADE OPENED THE FIRST AIRLINE BETWEEN BULGARIA AND AZERBAIJAN

Prime Ministers Boyko Borissov and Artur Rasizade opened the first airline between Bulgaria and Azerbaijan. Once a week - on Tuesday, a flight of Azerbaijani Airlines by their company BUTA Airlines will connect the capitals Sofia and Baku.

 

The direct airline between Bulgaria and Azerbaijan is a result of the agreements reached by Prime Minister Boyko Borissov and Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev during his visit to Bulgaria in 2015. The aim is to create conditions for the promotion of business contacts between the two countries and an increase in tourists visiting Bulgaria and Azerbaijan.

 

“The ticket price in one direction is 29 Euro. This is a wonderful opportunity for the Azerbaijanis to come for ski and summer tourism in Bulgaria and to explore our cultural and historical beauties. At the same time, Bulgarians can go to a beautiful country with a lot of traditions for only three hours, "Prime Minister Borissov said at the official opening.

 

Among the first passengers of the new airline were the Transport Minister Ivaylo Moskovski, the Energy Minister Temenuzhka Petkova, the Minister of Economy Emil Karanikolov, the Minister of Agriculture, Food and Forests Rumen Porozhanov. They were part of the official delegation to Baku, which accompanied Prime Minister Borissov.
