The deepening of the cooperation in the field of agriculture was the main topic of the talks between Prime Minister Boyko Borissov and Han Changfu, the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of China.
The development of partnership in the sector will also be a leading focus during the meeting of the leaders from the countries of Central and Eastern Europe and China in early July in Sofia. Boyko Borissov and Han Changfu agreed that in the recent years the bilateral relations in the field of agriculture have intensified and they expect specific arrangements during the upcoming meeting in the Bulgarian capital. As an example of the closer cooperation, the Prime Minister pointed out the protocol that was signed last year between the Bulgarian Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Forestry and the General Administration for Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China. The work of the Open Logistics Center "16 + 1" and Pavilion for e-commerce in agricultural and other products in Plovdiv was also noted as one of the successes.
"Your good relations with the President and the Prime Minister of China facilitate the development of bilateral relations," said Minister Han Changfu and expressed hope that the Bulgarian government will continue to stimulate "16 + 1" projects.
Prime Minister Boyko Borissov thanked the Minister for the organization and conduction of the search mission for the mountain climber Boyan Petrov.
