28.06.2017

By the end of the day each ministry concerned with e-government should post a representative to the State Agency “Electronic Government”. This was commissioned by Prime Minister Boyko Borissov during today’s cabinet meeting. The goal of the posting of ministry employees to the Agency is to provide support for the coordination of activities on the development of e-government and the unification of the systems for exchange of data. “Our view is that we should create a favorable environment, an incubator of experts at one place, who eventually by using the state resources of the agency will work for the sectors wherefrom they have been posted,” explained the Chairman of the agency Rosen Zhelyazkov.

At the meeting the results of the task assigned by the Prime Minister were reported on the review of the services at the various institutions in relation to the cabinet’s priority for decreasing the administrative burden for the citizens and the business. Deputy Prime Minister Tomislav Dontchev noted that in total 51 administrations have submitted information. The total number of administrative services and regimes on which information has been submitted is 1422, whereas the total number of documents and certificates required by the administration for providing those services is 5985. According to the Deputy Prime Minister, on the basis of the primary analysis of this information, actions on the part of all administrations are needed in six steps.

The Prime Minister also commented on the provision of the additional funding of 12 million BGN for security measures and event organization related to the conduction of the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the EU.
