Prime Minister Boyko Borissov held a telephone conversation with Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz. The Chancellor congratulated the Bulgarian Prime Minister on the official launch of the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union and wished him success.
The two confirmed their willingness to work hand-in-hand on the joint priorities of the Trio Presidency. “Only in this way will we be able to achieve consistency on security policies, the Western Balkans, the budget, cyber security, and the Cohesion Policy, which are important to all Member States,” said Boyko Borissov. Sebastian Kurz assured the Bulgarian Prime Minister that they will continue to maintain a permanent dialogue so that the two sides can be useful to one another in fulfilling the priorities.
Boyko Borissov and Sebastian Kurz expressed satisfaction with the active bilateral relations and said that with the personal commitment of both of them the cooperation between Bulgaria and Austria will continue to deepen.
The Austrian Chancellor accepted Prime Minister Borissov's invitation to visit our country in the near future.
