Bulgaria will provide humanitarian aid to Ukraine to deal with the harms caused by the destruction of the dam wall of the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant (HPP). Following a cabinet decision, humanitarian aid worth BGN 35,000 approximately will be provided free of charge, including bottles of natural mineral water and spring water and packaging materials (polyethylene, aeroplast/bubble wrap, etc.).
The Bulgarian government’s decision is in response to the request for assistance submitted by the Ukrainian government to the European Union to set in motion the Civil Protection Mechanism of the Union.
