Bulgaria and the Republic of Macedonia will establish a mechanism for cooperation on expert level on the issues related to the Macedonian preparation for accession to the European Union and the activities pertinent to the planning, management, and control of the investments with European funding. This was agreed by the Deputy Prime Minister Tomislav Dontchev and the Macedonian Deputy Prime Minister of European Affairs Bujar Osmani.
Concrete topics and fields of cooperation on which the Bulgarian side will offer experience and expertise will be determined within the next weeks.
The meeting between the two deputy prime ministers took place within the framework of the official visit of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Macedonia Zoran Zaev and the delegation to Bulgaria that he heads.
