The President of the European Parliament Antonio Tajani congratulated Boyko Borissov on the occasion of his inauguration as Prime Minister of the Republic of Bulgaria.
“Your compatriots renewed again their trust in you so that you can continue with the European development of Bulgaria. This categorical election victory goes beyond the borders of Bulgaria and commits us all together,” points out Tajani in the telegram sent to Prime Minister Borissov. “We must be ready to work for improving our Union, because the citizens of the EU expect a Europe closer to them. A Europe that is a guarantee for our sovereignty, a Europe that protects us,” is also said in the telegram.
Tajani expresses his confidence that the European Parliament will work in this direction: “There are many challenges ahead of us – creating new jobs, reforming the judicial system, managing the migration flows, fighting terrorism. I am convinced that we will find the common solutions to these problems.”
The President of the European Parliament expresses his expectation that the Bulgarian Prime Minister will address the members of the European Parliament during the next plenary session in Strasbourg.
