Mr. Peter Dilov is an economist who graduated University of National and World Economy as he obtained his Master in European Business and Finance degree from Nottingham Trent University in the UK. His career development also comprises various training programs at international banking institutions and institutes.
Minister Dilov has long-standing experience at the Bulgarian National Bank. He was the leading expert, representing the National Bank, who was responsible for the cooperation with European Central Bank regarding Bulgarian accession in the Single Supervisory Mechanism and the entry into the European Exchange Rate Mechanism II. He was involved in the transposition of EU legislative framework into national legislation in relation to regulation of credit institutions and the assessment of regulatory impact on the banking system. He was also involved in all Asset quality reviews of national banking system.
Minister Dilov participated in the Working Party on Financial Services and Banking Union at the Council of the European Union, associated with the negotiations of European legislation for risk reduction in the banking sector.
He also represented Bulgarian National Bank in working groups of the European Central Bank and the European Banking Authority.
