He graduated from the Southwestern University Neofit Rilski, Blagoevgrad with MA in Law degree.
He has undergone specialized trainings in the International Law Enforcement Academies in Budapest and Roswell, New Mexico.
Professional experience:
Appointed Minister of Interior with an order of the President of the Republic of Bulgaria in the caretaker government of Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev on 27 August 2024.
In October 2022 he was appointed director of the General Directorate of the National Police
From August 2021 to August 2022, he was deputy director of the General Directorate of the National Police.
In the period 2020 – 2021, he was head of Center for Specialisation and Professional Training in Kazanluk.
In July 2019, he was appointed director of the Kurdzhali Regional Directorate of MoI.
In the period 2017 – 2019, he was director of the Plovdiv Regional Directorate of MoI.
In July 2016, he was appointed Head of the Criminal Police Unit in the Plovdiv Regional Directorate of MoI.
His professional career in MoI started in 1987. He has worked in the Criminal Police Unit in Pazardzhik Regional Directorate of Interior, head of sector Detention Facilities Services, head of Criminal Police Department in General Directorate of the Criminal Police.
