Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev sent a letter to the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen to finalize the procedure of nominating the candidate for European Commissioner from Bulgaria. The Prime Minister’s letter was in response to a letter from Ms. Ursula von der Leyen where she thanked for putting forward the Bulgarian government’s two candidates and informed that following the interviews with the candidates she would like to ask Prime Minister Glavchev to formally put forward Ekaterina Zaharieva as the only Bulgarian candidate. In his reply to the letter from the President of the European Commission, Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev formally presented the name of Ekaterina Zaharieva as candidate for European Commissioner from Bulgaria.
