Prime Minister Stefan Yanev meets Japan’s Ambassador Hiroshi Narahira

The traditionally good bilateral relations between Bulgaria and Japan were the focus of the meeting of Prime Minister Stefan Yanev with the Ambassador of Japan to Bulgaria H. E. Mr. Hiroshi Narahira. Their discussion in the Prime Minister’s Office highlighted the two countries’ interest to deepen their cooperation in all possible sectors. Prime Minister Yanev stressed the solid potential for partnership in the economy, culture and innovation.

 

The Expo 2025 to be held in Osaka, Japan, in four years from now, was a topic that was discussed among the other topics at today’s meeting. Ambassador Narahira invited the Bulgarian Government for the country’s participation in the World Exposition while he underlined the wide range of advantages that Bulgaria could display at the forum. Prime Minister Stefan Yanev described the upcoming event as a good opportunity for Bulgaria and Japan to strengthen their business contacts and added that the Bulgarian Government is about to make a decision regarding the Expo 2025.

 

Further, Prime Minister Stefan Yanev extended congratulations on the election of Fumio Kishida as Prime Minister by the Japanese Parliament and wished him success in his responsible position. On his part Ambassador Hiroshi Narahira emphasized the importance of the work of the caretaker government and of Prime Minister Yanev in a period that is very important for Bulgaria.
