Prime Minister Rossen Jeliazkov congratulated Friedrich Merz as he took office as the Federal Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany.
In his congratulatory message to Germany’s Chancellor, Prime Minister Rossen Jeliazkov underlined the strategic importance of the cooperation between Bulgaria and Germany – both bilaterally and within the EU, NATO and in international organizations. Rossen Jeliazkov singled out the deep historical bonds, shared values, mutual respect and the shared vision of a united, stable and prosperous Europe. I am convinced that leaning on enhanced cooperation and coordination of efforts at all levels, we will continue to actively work to strengthen the resilience, unity and prosperity of the European continent, Bulgaria’s Prime Minister stated in his congratulatory message.
Also, Prime Minister Rossen Jeliazkov stressed the need for a closer and more consistent commitment so as to find sustainable solutions to global challenges. In his view, unity, solidarity and joint action within the European Union would be the most adequate response to the pressing issues of our time. Coordinated efforts could be our essential contribution to strengthen peace, security and shared democratic values, Prime Minister Rossen Jeliazkov declared firmly.
