BULGARIA AND SAUDI ARABIA DETERMINE AS PROMISING THEIR TRADE AND ECONOMIC COOPERATION

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is interested in increasing the trade exchange with Bulgaria, said Deputy Minister of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources Dr. Abed Al-Saadoun at a meeting with Prime Minister Boyko Borissov. In his words, his country has an interest in cooperating with the Bulgarian business in the field of industry, metallurgy, construction, and the production of construction materials, as well as in the building of facilities for the production of energy from renewable sources - an area in which Bulgaria has highly qualified specialists.

 

Prime Minister Borissov confirmed the availability of opportunities for expert exchanges and training of energy specialists as Bulgaria has good traditions and qualification programs. We are ready to work to promote cooperation and exchange of information on issues of mutual interest, Borissov said and expressed the expectation that Bulgarian companies will be involved in the implementation of projects in Saudi Arabia.

 

The Prime Minister pointed out that, as an important transit center for Central Asia and Middle East energy flows to Europe, Bulgaria is interested in stepping up the dialogue and the cooperation between producer countries, transit countries, and energy-consuming countries. We believe there are good opportunities to establish fruitful partnerships and we are ready to step up the cooperation in the energy field,” said the Prime Minister.

 

Borissov described Saudi Arabia as an economic partner with potential for our country. The establishment of working groups was agreed that are to examine the possibilities for cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
