The credit for this goes to Bulgaria; it is unacceptable not to be a member of the Schengen area, including its land borders. We will intervene with Austria for your full membership. The statement was made by Mark Rutte, Prime Minister of the Netherlands, at the meeting with acting Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev in Brussels. Their talk was at the invitation of Prime Minister Mark Rutte within the framework of the Special European Council in the capital of Belgium.
Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev thanked the Netherlands for its support for Bulgaria’s effort to join the Eurozone. Mark Rutte was firm that Bulgaria is managing on its own.
