Prime Minister Boyko Borissov met with Moroccan Minister of Foreign Affairs Nasser Bourita. The two discussed possibilities for deepening cooperation in the security field and expressed conviction that this partnership would be of high added value for both states. Prime Minister Borissov expressed appreciation for Morocco's policy for regulation of migratory flows and reduction of the migratory pressure on Europe, and highlighted the need for enhanced cooperation and exchange of experience between experts from the two countries.
The Bulgarian Prime Minister also noted an increase in trade volume between Bulgaria and the Kingdom of Morocco and pointed out that this presents potential that could be built upon. Trade turnover in 2017 peaked at 202.72 million US dollars, marking a considerable increase. In comparison, its value in 2016 amounted to 170, 4 million US dollars.
