Architect Ivan Shishkov is a prominent expert with extensive experience in architecture, urban planning and government. In 2022-2023 he was Minister of Regional Development and Public Works and prior to that he served as Deputy Minister and Adviser for the same ministry. His professional career includes 24-year service as chief architect of the Municipality of Dragoman and of the districts Bankya and Triaditsa of the Municipality of Sofia.
He has worked as a freelancer in architectural design, applying his amassed expertise in the implementation of major infrastructure and development projects.
Ivan Shishkov graduated from the Higher Institute of Architecture and Civil Engineering (today the University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy) in Sofia with a Master’s Degree in Architecture. He graduated from secondary school, the Hristo Botev Construction School in Sofia, with a degree in Construction Technician.
