PRIME MINISTER BOYKO BORISSOV MET WITH PRIME MINISTER OF CAPE VERDE JOSE ULISSES DE PINA CORREIA E SILVA

Prime Minister Boyko Borissov met with the Prime Minister of Cape Verde Jose Ulisses de Pina Correia e Silva, who is on an official visit to Bulgaria. The two discussed the possibilities for deepening the cooperation in the fields of education and the economy.

 

Prime Minister Borissov pointed out Cape Verde’s close relationship with the European Union and welcomed the democratic developments in the country. Emphasizing the aid provided to African countries and the despite this growing migratory flow, Borissov singled out Cape Verde as a positive example: “With policies such as the ones implemented by Cape Verde, and European aid and investments, migration from Africa could be stopped,” said the Bulgarian Prime Minister.

 

The Prime Minister of Cape Verde stressed that his country welcomes foreign investments and ties the improvement of living conditions with the reduction of uncontrolled migration. “We offer stability, trust and predictability of public order,” Prime Minister Ulisses Correia e Silva added and noted that his country is open for cooperation in the fields of education, tourism and the economy.
