PRIME MINISTER BOYKO BORISSOV IN BOLGRAD: WE WILL OPEN A BULGARIAN SCHOOL IN ODESSA AND A UKRAINIAN CULTURAL CENTER IN SOFIA

"We have agreed with the Mayor of Odessa and President Poroshenko to open a Bulgarian school in Odessa and a Ukrainian cultural center in Sofia." This was stated by the Prime Minister Boyko Borissov in his speech on the occasion of the 160th anniversary of the "G. S. Rakovski" High School in Bolgrad. He attended the ceremony with the President of Ukraine Petro Peroshenko, as well as with Vice President Iliyana Yotova, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic and Demographic Policy Valeri Simeonov and Minister of Education and Science Krasimir Valchev.

 

In front of the attendees at the festivities, Prime Minister Borissov announced that it has been decided to invite 30 children from the Bolgrad high school to visit Sofia and to have 5 teachers from the school receive additional qualification in Bulgaria. These activities will be funded from the budget of the Bulgarian Ministry of Education.

 

 

Bulgarian Prime Minister Borissov reminded that by decision of the Council of Ministers from June this year, a grant of 150,000 BGN has been directed for the material and technical equipement of the educational process at the Bolgrad high school.

 

 

Prime Minister Boyko Borissov said that together with the Ukrainian President they had discussed prospects for specific infrastructure projects. "These roads will ensure connectivity, which is also necessary for the business, the trade volume between the two countries is constantly increasing", stressed the Bulgarian Prime Minister.

 

In his speech on the anniversary of the high school in Bolgrad, President Poroshenko expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Boyko Borissov for the fruitful talks today and the agreements reached on joint projects.
