PRIME MINISTER BORISSOV: STRONG IS THE POLITICIAN WHO BRINGS BACK THE SOLDIERS ALIVE AND HEALTHY AND DOES NOT SEND THEM TO WAR

11.08.2018

The politician is strong, who brings back the soldiers alive and healthy and does not send them to war. There is no good war, there are heroes – let us keep them alive and healthy. This was stated by Prime Minister Boyko Borissov, who attended the commemoration on the occasion of the 139th anniversary since the founding of the Naval Forces of the Republic of Bulgaria in Varna. He pointed out that the international situation is very complex and urged politicians at all levels to work to prevent warfare in the Black Sea region. "The Danube and the Black Sea are becoming an area of an extremely conflictual situation and Bulgarian politicians at all levels must put all efforts needed not to allow military actions in the Black Sea. We are prepared, but the role of this preparation is to discourage the possibility for conflict. We will use all our diplomacy and energy to preserve them and only participate in exercises," Prime Minister Borissov said.

The Prime Minister highlighted that our country is proud of our Naval Forces and all those who serve in the Bulgarian Army. He noted the excellent performance of the Bulgarian military in the large-scale exercises with international participation, as well as in Allied operations. "There are international exercises that are entrusted to Bulgarian officers and they are fulfilling their tasks more than great," said Borissov.

The ceremony was attended by Navy Commander Rear Admiral Mitko Petev and Defense Chief Lieutenant General Andrey Botsev.
