Prime Minister Boyko Borissov met with the Executive Director of the American Jewish Committee David Harris in Munich. The Bulgarian Prime Minister is on a two-day visit to Germany to attend the Munich Security Conference.
Prime Minister Borissov and David Harris noted the excellent relationship that Bulgaria has with Jewish organizations in the United States. The Bulgarian Prime Minister pointed out that Jewish organizations have supported Bulgaria over the years on its Euro-Atlantic path. He stressed that our country relies on the American Jewish organizations to assist in unfolding the potential for economic and trade cooperation between Bulgaria and the United States. "Our active cooperation has an important role both for the development of bilateral Bulgaria-US relations and for the cooperation between Bulgaria and the State of Israel," said Prime Minister Borissov.
The Prime Minister underlined that our country shares the concern of the world Jewish community about growing anti-Semitism. "We condemn and reject such attempts, and our response is the strong commitment to exploring and telling the story in all its tragic complexity," said Prime Minister Borissov.
