Prime Minister Boyko Borissov met with Ambassador Emma Hopkins.


 
They discussed the development of negotiations on the UK's withdrawal from the European Union. During the conversation it was confirmed that the two countries will make efforts to guarantee the rights of both Bulgarian citizens in the UK and British citizens in our country. The Prime Minister said British citizens are currently well received and will be well received in Bulgaria after Brexit.


 
During the meeting, Bulgarian Prime Minister Borissov and British Ambassador Hopkins acknowledged the excellent cooperation between Bulgaria and the United Kingdom in the security field. The two confirmed that the Bulgarian and British services will continue to work together in the fight against terrorism, smuggling, illegal migration, criminal investigations, and corruption.


 
Ambassador Hopkins introduced Bulgarian Prime Minister Borissov to the investigation on the ‘Skripal’ case.
