We maintain friendly relations with the UAE and wish to develop and deepen them, Prime Minister Boyko Borissov said during his meeting with the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of the Emirate of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum. The Bulgarian Prime Minister noted that he highly appreciates the mutual political willingness to intensify the bilateral cooperation.
Prime Minister Borissov highlighted in particular Dubai's role in the development of the relations between Bulgaria and the Emirates. He noted that the UAE hosts the most numerous Bulgarian community in the region, with the majority of Bulgarians living and working in Dubai.
The Bulgarian Prime Minister congratulated the leadership of the Emirates and the people of the UAE on the progress made in the development and technological modernization of the country. Prime Minister Borissov expressed confidence that Bulgaria and the federal monarchy could cooperate successfully in various areas, such as information technology, agriculture, infrastructure, tourism, and security. According to the Prime Minister, it would be beneficial for both sides to encourage contacts between business representatives. Investors from the Emirates are welcome in Bulgaria, Prime Minister Borissov said, highlighting the opportunities available in Bulgarian industrial zones.
Prime Minister Boyko Borissov thanked for the hospitality and invited Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum to visit Bulgaria at a convenient time to get acquainted with the potential of our country and to continue the discussion on the ways to unfold the mutual cooperation.
