03.08.2018

Over the years, I have heard a lot of my colleagues talk about gas supplies, about projects, but in practice there have been zero developments! And today, by opening the crane, there can be a transit of 16 cubic meters of natural gas in both directions. This was announced by Prime Minister Boyko Borissov, who today participated in the ceremony for launching the transit gas pipeline for Turkey in the section Lozenets - Nedyalsko. With the construction of the 20-kilometer gas pipeline, Bulgaria's natural gas transmission capacity for Turkey will increase by 1.7 billion cubic meters per year. “While others are wondering where and what is going to pass, our pipeline is already working,” Prime Minister Borissov said, adding: “Thanks to the builders and the workers, because today of all our neighboring countries – we are ready.” The Prime Minister reminded of the agreements reached in Ankara and Moscow on the continuation of the Turkish flow through our hub to Serbia, Macedonia, Austria, and Hungary. “We are doing this now - according to the European rules, with the approval of the European Commission,” Prime Minister Boyko Borissov said.
