Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov held a telephone conversation with his Libyan counterpart Fayez al Sarraj. The two discussed the case with the ship “Badr”, which was detained in Bulgaria. The Libyan Prime Minister thanked Boyko Borissov and the Bulgarian government for their timely intervention and the demonstrated desire to resolve the case with positive developments for both sides.
In front of the Bulgarian Prime Minister, Fayez al Sarraj highlighted that a favorable development of the situation would provide a very strong signal for the future cooperation between Bulgaria and Libya. Prime Minister Sarraj was categorical that the positive resolution of the case with the ship will give additional impetus to bilateral and economic relations between the two countries.
The Prime Minister of Libya accepted the invitation by Prime Minister Boyko Borissov tovisit Bulgaria at his earliest convenience. The two prime ministers agreed that they would be guarantors for the development of economic relations, as well as that Bulgarian companies will once again enter the Libyan market.
