It is to the interest both of Bulgaria and the United Arab Emirates to build effective partnerships in strategically important areas, including security and the fight against terrorism. This was said by Prime Minister Boyko Borissov during his conversation with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Sayf Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan.
Prime Minister Borissov expressed satisfaction with the mutual political willingness to intensify bilateral cooperation. He highlighted the importance of sharing information and experience in the fight against crime and smuggling. According to the Bulgarian Prime Minister, it would be good to develop cooperation between the services of the two states.
The Prime Minister identified the mutual recognition of driving licenses as a positive step. The entry into force of the Memorandum that governs this issue in July was a long awaited event for our fellow citizens in the UAE. This eliminated the need for retaking driving courses and passing examinations in the federal monarchy.
