BULGARIA AND THE REPUBLIC OF MACEDONIA WILL WORK FOR JOINT BORDER CONTROL AND THE CONSTRUCTION OF TRANSPORT CORRIDOR № VIII

Deputy Prime Minister Tomislav Donchev and Macedonian Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Kocho Angjushev  agreed to work together to simplify the admission regime and the joint border control between Bulgaria and the Republic of Macedonia.

 

The two met during Deputy Prime Minister Donchev's official visit to the Bulgarian-Macedonian Business Forum, which takes place today in Skopje.

 

A common priority for both countries is the construction of transport corridor № VIII and the railway line between Skopje and Sofia, and  Bulgaria will do everything necessary to accelerate the completion, said Deputy Prime Minister Donchev. Deputy Prime Minister Kocho Angjushev highlighted that the Republic of Macedonia is also interested in strengthening cooperation with Bulgaria in the energy sector.

 

Deputy Prime Ministers Donchev and Angjushev agreed on the necessity to review and simplify all rules and administrative regimes that present a burden on investments and trade between the two countries.
