BOYKO BORISSOV: THE BALKANS NEED PEACE TO ACHIEVE PROSPERITY

09.04.2018

In this very important election year for Bosnia and Herzegovina, we will try in all possible ways to support the unity of the country. On the Balkans, we cannot have an egoistic approach, a problem in any country also concerns the other countries, therefore I rely on the colleagues for the achievement of peace. This was said by Prime Minister Boyko Borissov after his meeting with Dragan Covic, member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina and host of the 21st International Economic Fair in Mostar. Borissov is a special guest at the exhibition, which aims to enhance economic development through a meeting of the business from the region with world companies. The political leaders of the countries from the Western Balkans will also attend, whereby the Bulgarian Prime Minister will hold meetings with them.

At the meeting, Boyko Borissov and Dragan Covic have discussed the bilateral relations, which hold an unfulfilled potential according to the jointly expressed opinion, the Euro-Atlantic perspective for the countries of the region, as well as the most serious instrument for guaranteeing it – the development of the economy and the infrastructure.

“If we construct the infrastructure, there will be prosperity. We have tried other ways and those did not work,” pointed out Prime Minister Borissov.

I am convinced that our Euro-Atlantic path has no alternative, the member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Dragan Covic was categorical.
